TOKYO’S WAN AQUA-LINE
Floating parking lot?
The Aqualine connects Kisarazu City and Kawasaki City. Before the completion of the Aqualine, transportation between Kisarazu City and Kawasaki City required driving 100 kilometers along the coastline of Tokyo Bay or taking a one-hour ferry. Now the Aqualine connects the two cities in about 15 minutes.
Cars can either drive over the 4.4 km bridge to the island and park there in order to admire the view or they drive straight through to the tunnel entrance where they will drive underwater for 9.5 km until they reach Kawasaki.
