SEE PENGUINS FLY!

The Sunshine Aquarium in the Ikebukuro district of Tokyo features a unique see-through tank that lets visitors watch the facility’s seal population swim laps. But the aquarium’s added a special penguin exhibit this year, which is giving the little birds a taste of what it’s like to fly (via gizmodo).

One of the aquarium’s main attractions, the Aqua Ring is a clear, ring-shaped tank that is elevated 2.3 meters from the ground so that visitors can look up at the tank from below. The Sunshine Aquarium is located on the rooftop of the nine-story building “World Import Mart”, which is part of a large entertainment complex called Sunshine City. The complex includes restaurants, restaurants, an indoor theme park, a planetarium, a hotel and also the Sunshine 60, a skyscraper that boasts the highest observation deck in Tokyo, so if you do go to the aquarium, you’ll find other attractions nearby as well (via Rocket News 24).
