Manila's poor have sought refuge in some public cemeteries around the capital, with poverty driving them to live with the dead. Navotas, north of Manila, Philippines is a such a poverty-stricken place; people live in an 'apartment-style cemetary', and trust me, you won't find a penthouse anywhere!
People in this predominantly Catholic country in Asia flock to cemeteries and memorial parks every November 1st to honor the departed, commonly known as All Saints' Day. Millions of commuters visit cemeteries and families in their home provinces on this day, certainly disturbing the cemetary's permanent residents.
The Dongzhong (literally meaning 'in cave') primary school, at a Miao village in Ziyun county, southwest China's Guizhou province, is built in a huge natural cave. The cave was formed over the years by winds, water and seismic shifts. Students have to travel over the mountains to the cave everyday to learn.
I could not find any information on the history and origin of the school. Any more info would be great!

April 2008: A Durban man took a plunge with a difference when he bungee jumped 30 m using an elastic rope made from condoms.Jump master Carl Dionisio made the unusual jump at the Wavehouse at Gateway to get what he described as 'the virgin buzz' one got on the first bounce back.
The condom bungee jump was the first of its kind in the world and Dionisio said that part of the thrill was getting recognition from the jumping community. The 37-year-old made his first jump 15 years ago in Mossel Bay. He was quickly hooked on the extreme sport and turned it into his career.
Over the course of four months he and a friend constructed the rope using 18,500 condoms in a tried-and-true mathematical formula. Despite being 99% sure it would work, Dionisio admitted that his stomach was 'in a knot for a month before the jump.'
I wonder what brand he used? Boy, would that be a good commercial!
The annual baby crying contest was held at the Sensoji Temple in Tokyo this year.
Aproximately 80 babies participated in this traditional contest. The contest determines which of two babies cries first as they are held in the air by two sumo wrestlers who persuade them to cry. If both babies begin bawling at the same time, the one who cries the loudest is declared the winner. The ritual, the Japanese believe, is good for the babies because each wail is a prayer for good health.
